From Pasečná, you'll head down past the Rožnov peat bog with its beaver dams. The path winds and drops down to another beautiful beaver dam and a marked spot where the village of Rychnůvek and the Church of St. Wenceslaus still stood back in the 50s. The settlement vanished shortly after the expulsion, and the church was razed to the ground in 1959. Next up is a 5 km stretch on asphalt with a long, steady climb all the way to the former settlement of Růžový vrch. Then comes a beautiful forest path along the Schwarzenberg Canal. This unique masterpiece by Josef Rosenauer connects the North and Black Sea basins and supplied wood from the local forests to both Vienna and Prague for almost 170 years.

From this national cultural monument, you'll turn at the Iglbach-Ježová border crossing, and a beautiful trail, now through Austria, and little paths will lead you all the way to the Austrian village of Oberhaag for the next hand-off.
